The big 5-0!

Grandma Rhonda turned 50 on March 5th, to celebrate we had two parties.  The first was for the family on Sunday after Sam's blessing we sang happy birthday and had chocolate banana cream pie.  The second was the big party. On her birthday we had an open house lunch for all her friends old and new.  Kim, Kathryn, Amanda and I put it together and it was a huge success!  We made salads, misc tea sandwiches and other fun lunch food and decorated the bar with food, flowers and lots of pictures of the family.  Then the guests arrived! About 50 of her friends and family.  Everyone ate and visited, it was so loud with womens voices it's hard to believe Sam was able to sleep.  It was so fun to see people we haven't seen in years and show off how much the family has grown! I wish I could post more pictures but one whole memory stick full was lost so there are only a few left but take a look at a great day

Sam’s Big Day

Sam was blessed on the 2nd and we are pleased to announce he didn't cry! Making 4 of 4 for happy babies during their blessings!  It was a great day.  The whole family came to church taking up most of the chapel.  Then the Smith half went to Grandma Rhonda & Grandpa Byron's for lunch and visiting. The kids always have a blast playing with their cousins and loved singing Happy Birthday to Grandma Rhonda and eating pie.  Ben (who had to stay for priesthood) showed up just in time to take a family picture and head to Grandma & Grandpa Conover's for Dinner and more fun.
